A BUDDING actress from Skelmersdale has received her first big break after being chosen for a top part in classic musical Les Miserables Tickets .Leah Hobart, 16, of Holland Park, was awarded the role of Eponine in STINT Productions take on the theatrical phenomenon.The Up Holland High pupil beat off competition from more than 200 hopefuls to feature in the show, which is currently running at the Brindley Theatre in Runcorn.Leah said: “Before my first performance I was a little nervous, but I was more excited than anything.
“My whole family and lots of friends came along to the opening night on Tuesday, which was amazing.“I still can’t believe that I was given the part.“When I went to the first audition there must have been over 200 girls.“I was asked to come back for a second audition. Cheap Les miserables Tickets Then a third. Eventually I was told I had got the part.Leah’s talent was spotted last year when she triumphed in Skelmersdale’s Search 4 A Star competition.
Her powerful rendition of On My Own from Les Miserables play won her a 4-night, £500 holiday to the Golden Sands resort in Wales.Now Leah plans to focus on acting and singing and study performing arts at college.“I love acting and I have been in school shows since I was little,” she said.“Eventually I want to be a big singer and actress pering to thousands of people.”
